T.A.B - O.N.E

Trees. Animals. Birds - Online. Nature. Education

T.A.B. – O.N.E. is to create awareness among young minds on nurturing the Mother-Nature. The initiative, through its interaction with the young learners, brings about an understanding of our environment, bio-diversity present around gardening, conservation, and us.

OUR  OBJECTIVE

TAB – ONE intends to reach as many young students as possible online for creating the fundamental awareness of the wildlife present in our urban environment. During the days of interaction, the young participants will be asked to observe the birds, animals, and trees around their residences. The online interaction and their observation near their surrounding will be so insightful that they are bound to develop a great deal of interest in nature. Later, having acquired the foundational knowledge on the biodiversity found around them, the students will be taking a field trip in and around their city as per their convenience. The field trip will be guided by experts and the children will be taught various types of trees, animals and birds that usually are unnoticed in our busy lives. Furthermore, the children will also be taught how to document their observation for their future reference.

T.A.B - O.N.E @ GRASS ROOTS

EMAI conducted a session on ‘Types of Ecosystem – Desert Ecosystem’ on 14 August 2020 through T.A.B. – O.N.E to children of Grade 4, Grade 5 & Grade 6 at Grassroots Global School, Nungambakkam, Chennai. The session involved interaction between students, teachers and EMAI’s team. Students’ reflections were collected through an Art Festival. Their understanding and presentation were evolved and certificates were given to all. The best pic was awarded with a cash prize.

Nature Classroom  – A collaborative Learning Space for Wild Science.

When children learn, they must feel peaceful, energised and happy. EMAI intends to blend Community Wildlife Habitat Education with real-world lessons. Through ‘Nature Classroom’ program EMAI takes children outdoors to explore nature for it rewards a remarkable learning experience. The program ensures to support ‘Experiential Pedagogy’ with an objective that children intuitively use their skills to learn something unique, original and useful as learning outcomes. Furthermore, the program gives children fun, hands-on experience that results in a genuine understanding of how trees, birds and animals remain intertwined and how human beings can live in harmony with them.

EMAI has identified a few spots where such an educational experience can be provided. One of them is called BhuSat – a place located in Nerkundram Village, Uthiramerur.  BhuSat is located along hillocks and surrounded by acres of serene wildlife habitat. Children are taught to explore avifauna of the place and also witness the connections the birds have with the habitat. BhuSat has all the basic amenities such as drinking water, toilet facilities, outdoor classrooms, discussion area, and play area for kids.

EMAI proposes to collaborate with your institution for providing Nature Education with the best learning experience. Nature Classroom program assures that children will be able to integrate their ecological learning with their emotional and social well-being as the experience itself gives an essential perspective of their role in the world.
